Werktyd turns clock-in and clock-out events into hours that are ready to export. It is for South African employers whose payroll month is currently reconstructed from a paper register, memory and group chats.

Hours that are ready to export

Normal time, overtime, late arrivals and early departures are totalled in one place, against the hours each worker normally works.

You get daily, weekly, monthly and yearly summaries. Review what needs attention, approve what is correct, then export.

The formats South African payroll actually uses

Werktyd provides Excel and CSV exports, plus formats for Sage Pastel, Sage VIP Premier and SimplePay.

Overtime and BCEA flags

Overtime and BCEA variance flags are included on the Team and Business plans, alongside weekly and monthly reports.

A clear trail when something is disputed

Clock events, work zones, patrol visits and manual overrides are all recorded, so a disagreement about a shift has an answer that is not somebody’s memory.

What it costs

Free for one to two workers. Starter is R100 a month or R1 000 a year for three to ten workers. Team is R200 a month or R2 000 a year for eleven to twenty. Business is R300 a month or R3 000 a year for twenty-one to thirty. Prices are in rand and you can cancel from the dashboard.
