Terms of service

Effective 14 July 2026. By using Werktyd you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Werktyd records employee attendance using face recognition or a PIN, and provides timesheets to the registered business (you).

2. Your responsibilities

You are the Responsible Party for your workers’ personal information under POPIA. You must give workers the privacy notice, offer the PIN alternative and obtain any consents your context requires. You confirm you are authorised to enrol the workers you add.

3. Our role

We act as your Operator under POPIA, processing data only to provide the service. See the operator agreement.

4. Plans and billing

Free and paid plans are described on our site. Paid plans are billed in ZAR, monthly or annually according to the option selected at checkout, and renew on that cycle until cancelled. Worker limits apply per plan.

5. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and only for time and attendance of your own workers. No attempt to identify or track individuals outside that purpose.

6. Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but provide the service “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to fees paid in the prior month.

7. Termination

Either party may end the service. On termination we return or delete your data as described in the operator agreement.
